In every Palestinian home, "Yuma" is the word that echoes when a mother calls for her child or a child calls for their mother. It's a term of endearment, a symbol of love and family.

ABOUT

OUR MISSION

Make Palestine Visible

OUR STORY, OUR STAKES

This isn't abstract. This is our family.

Yusuf's

father was a Palestinian refugee, forced from his homeland by violence. He rebuilt his life in Chicago, establishing schools, mosques, and a strong community. Yet, in just two years, Yusuf has lost 74 family members to the ongoing genocide in Palestine—seventy-four in two years: men, women, children, babies.

We are one family among thousands who carry this pain — and none of us will forget. Each one fuels a determination to make a difference.

parents, Egyptian immigrants, built successful careers and dedicated their lives to serving their community. Her mother was a pioneer in her field, breaking barriers for women in engineering, while her father worked tirelessly to build communities, schools, and raise funds for those the world often ignores.

Raised in Chicago's vibrant Palestinian diaspora, Marriam didn't learn advocacy; she inherited it.

Marriam's

74

This is not a number. This is our family. This is what genocide looks like up close.

When we see what's happening in Palestine, we feel it in our stomachs. These aren't headlines—this is our people, our family's story, still being written in blood. The pain is real. So is our refusal to stay silent.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

We wanted to do more than attend protests. We wanted to wear resistance. To carry Palestine with us every day — sometimes loud, sometimes subtle, always intentional.

For over 77 years, the world has watched Palestine be erased. We're using our creativity to make that impossible.

Palestinian culture is vibrant, layered, unapologetically bold—keffiyehs, embroidery, symbols with centuries of meaning. We translate that heritage into pieces that belong anywhere. Designs cool enough that people want to wear them, powerful enough to spark conversations that matter.

This isn't fast fashion. Every design is crafted with intention, every detail deliberate. We're building a brand that carries weight—resistance you can wear, culture you can carry with pride.

OUR MISSION

We started with a dream: fund young Palestinian artists through every sale. Art is an outlet for hope, for processing unimaginable stress, for keeping culture alive under siege. Art resists. Art heals.

Then the genocide intensified. Children needed water, not paintbrushes. Survival became the only priority, though the occupation—the 77-year root of all this destruction—has always demanded it.

That dream waits for us. When children can create without fear, we'll return to it. Until then, our focus is survival and visibility.

Twenty percent of profits go directly to Heal Palestine for emergency relief. The remaining 80% funds growth: new designs, production, reaching more people who see Palestine and refuse to look away. We've never taken a salary. Our time, our money, our hearts—that's the foundation.

WHY YUMA

Caring about Palestine shouldn't be fleeting. It deserves to be part of how you move through the world.

Yuma is built for the long fight. It's designed to live in your daily life—pieces you actually want to wear, that start real conversations, that keep Palestine visible in spaces where it's usually forgotten or ignored.

This is our family, our story, our full-time commitment. Twenty percent of profits go directly to emergency relief. The rest builds more reach, more designs, more visibility. But we can't do this without you.

When you wear Yuma, you're wearing a brand built to honor Palestine, and all the other disenfranchised people. our people, our heritage. Every design reminds people that what's happening to Palestine — and America's role in it — is not okay. That we won't accept it. That we won't vote for it. You're making Palestine impossible to ignore. You're part of something that doesn't end when the headlines do.

Every purchase fuels this fight. Every conversation you start matters. Your support is how we change it.

Our resilience is unbreakable.

With your support, we become unstoppable.

By transforming our family's story of loss into a shared symbol of defiance and hope, The Yuma Project creates wearable tools that make Palestine impossible to ignore.

Join us. Wear resistance. Start conversations. Refuse to let Palestine be forgotten.
