yuma can be heard in every Palestinian or Arab home when a mother calls for her child, or a child calls for their mother. It  also represents us Yusuf and Marriam, and the combination of our first names.

Yusuf, the son of a Palestinian refugee father and a Danish-American mother, is the creative force behind our brand’s ethos and designs, bringing his exceptional talents in art, design, and media to life.

Marriam, the daughter of Egyptian immigrants and raised in Chicago among the largest Palestinian diaspora, brings her marketing and strategy expertise to help shape and elevate our brand.

We had a meet cute and began dreaming of a brand that blended protest wear and a bit more fashion. Our goal was simple: to wear what we love while standing up for what we believe. Simple, and we hope powerful. And, as they say, the rest is history.
